Colours

Just when you thought spring was on the way, it has turned cold again..bbbrrrrrr

Last week we had warm weather of 18c which is light jumper weather, no coats, boots, scarfs etc then Sunday something happened it got so cold it tried to snow! And as I write this it is trying again!

We need spring to come so I have found a few new colours to brighten up the day....

In the mix I have added some other greens and blues to show the different tones.

Here are a couple of my new pieces that I have painted with some of the up and coming trend colours, Emerald Green, Colbolt Blue and an old favourite of mine teal.

Fingers crossed for a warmer week or even better a warmer weekend!

New art from a new room

I'm loving my new space, it's great.

Love is in the air

I can lock the door at the end of the day and not worry about my work until I next go back, no little fingers to worry about touching things or getting hurt with my cutting tools.

One little problem, I still have to paint the door and frame, so my little bit of paradise has to go on pause for a short while whilst I get that sorted. Knives and paints away at the end of the day.

Here are a few little pieces I have been working on in my new space.

February the month that reminds me of water and time for love...

On the ocean waves

A little bit of love

Thames Festival

Hello All

I have been meaning to blog for ages but have been so busy making stock to take to the Thames Festival and listing my products with a new site Something You Fancy that time has run away from me.

Here are some of the pictures from the Thames Festival, it was such a great day and so much fun, we were worried that being near the Rio stage that we would have a headache from 11 hours of music but far from it, I found myself dancing and clapping without even thinking about it. I must have looked a little mad!

This was the stage behind our stalls

This is my stall

The Rio stage in full force

The huge crowd in the area watching the performance

Not everyone was enjoying it!

The night time performance was magical

The sellers working at night

Many thanks to Mary from We Make London for organising the traders. Click HERE for all of the craft people that were there over the weekend.

This coming Sunday I'm back at the Duck Pond Market in Ruislip and because I have sold my original Colourful Cats I will have to find something new to display. Fear not if you liked the original I have prints available in my shop.

My Space and our Foster Cat

I just thought I would share with you my work space at the moment. I'm currently working in watercolours and have just finished a very colourful cat painting.

Latest Piece - Colourful Cats

And this is our Foster Cat Chuck, whom we are looking after for the Mayhew Animal Home. He is very lovely cat and so loyal it's almost like having a dog around the house!

Here are a few pictures of him playing with the trains. If you are interested in Chuck click here
