A little break was just what was needed

In a very busy July, I took on work at my sons nursery, whilst still trying to fit everything else in. It was time for a break and our trip to Wales was perfectly timed!

After packing 2 to 3 weeks worth of clothes for just a week away, scooters, food and supplies we were ready and on our way to a beautiful house in Saundersfoot.

Many days on the beach

A day spent at Folly Farm - the only place in Wales; with you guessed, Giraffes!

With the odd penguin too!

New paintings I'm working on...

Here is a little peek of what I'm working on at the moment, I have found a new love for wood.

I have been priming them ready for painting and then painting them white as they take a true colour from that point.

I have gone back to painting sea again, a love of mine.

I love the above painting as the wood fibres have stood up and with a dry brush have created a great texture. I'm in two minds whether to touch this one again or not! I think it needs something but just giving it time to find out what.

I have some more of my lovely laser cut wood
